Explore London with public bus routes without spending a fortune

London is one of the world’s most iconic cities, and one of the easiest ways to see many of its landmarks is by exploring London on public bus routes without spending a fortune. These routes take you past some of the city’s most famous sights without having to book a sightseeing bus.

You can follow each route exactly as we describe it, or even do it in the opposite direction. Just make sure you are at the correct bus stop and travelling in the right direction.

⏱️ Keep an eye on journey times. At certain times of day, especially when traffic is heavy, the journey can take longer than usual.

Check a transport app with real-time information to plan your journey. One reliable option is Citymapper. And if you can, sit upstairs: the views are unbeatable.
