The History of the Other Side of the Thames

Explore the south bank of the river, far beyond the authority of the City of London: Southwark, a place once known for excess, crime and death. Its streets were home to taverns filled with outlaws, prisons where inmates endured brutal punishments, and forgotten burial grounds.

On this tour, we’ll discover the beauty of the Thames riverside, where tragedy and the supernatural intertwine with a vibrant past of theatres, markets and dark alleyways.
